Aave Community's Funding Proposal Faces Controversy After Narrow Approval

Aave community's proposal titled 'Aave Will Win' has narrowly passed with a 52.58% majority, according to PANews. However, Marc Zeller, founder of ACI, has raised concerns about the voting outcome, suggesting that addresses linked to Aave Labs influenced the result. Zeller highlighted that three clusters associated with Aave Labs contributed approximately 233,000 votes in favor, including 111,000 votes delegated by co-founder Stani Kulechov. Zeller's calculations indicate that excluding these votes would change the result to 387,000 in favor versus 497,000 against. The proposal seeks DAO approval to provide Aave Labs with up to $42.5 million in stablecoins and 75,000 AAVE tokens in exchange for Aave Labs transferring all product revenue to the DAO treasury. This vote comes amid rising tensions within the community. Zeller previously released an audit report questioning the return on investment from the approximately $86 million in funding Aave Labs received in the past.
