The crypto super PAC Fairshake is spending $1.5 million on an advertising campaign aimed at preventing Texas Democratic Representative Al Green, a critic of the crypto industry, from winning the primary. The expenditure was pledged by Fairshake's affiliate, Protect Progress. Al Green was rated an "F" by the pro-crypto organization Stand With Crypto for pointing out the potential risks of cryptocurrencies and voting against crypto policy legislation, while his opponent, Christian Menefee, received an "A". Fairshake's $1.5 million investment exceeds the more than $700,000 in campaign funds Al Green has raised so far. Fairshake reportedly has $193 million in reserves and also announced this week that it will spend $5 million to support another pro-crypto Republican Representative, Barry Moore. (Coindesk)
