The CFTC has announced the members of its Innovation Advisory Committee, with several crypto industry leaders among the selected members.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has appointed members to its newly formed Innovation Advisory Committee, which includes the CEOs of Coinbase, Ripple, Robinhood, and Uniswap Labs. Other new members include Chris Dixon of a16z Crypto, Anatoly Yakovenko of Solana Labs, Peter Mintzberg of Grayscale, Sergey Nazarov of Chainlink Labs, and Alana Palmedo of Paradigm. Advisors also include CEOs from traditional companies such as Nasdaq, CME Group, Cboe Global Markets, the Futures Industry Association (FIA), and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). Bullish CEO Tom Farley is also a member. The 35-member committee aims to provide guidance to the CFTC on the needs of innovative financial companies. CFTC Chairman Mike Selig stated that the committee will be a significant asset to the CFTC in its efforts to modernize its rules and regulations.
