The Kunming Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology issued the three-year action plan for the development of digital economy in Kunming (2022-2024), which will strengthen the blockchain industry, relying on the Yunnan Provincial Blockchain Center, and actively create a national blockchain development pilot zone. Continue to increase the attraction of domestic and foreign blockchain leading enterprises and unicorn enterprises, focus on building an industry-oriented blockchain underlying cloud platform, and provide the industry with the ability to build the entire blockchain chain, application development capabilities, and fast application Deployment capability and operation and maintenance monitoring capability. Combined with the digital development needs of key industries and industries in Kunming, focus on the development of green food, health care, government services, electronic invoices, supply chain finance, intellectual property protection and other characteristic applications, and build an innovative application ecology of blockchain in Kunming. By 2024, the city will add more than 10 leading blockchain companies with strong competitiveness, and incubate more than 20 blockchain-specific applications. The Kunming Bureau of Industry and Information Technology also stated that it will advance the layout of the Metaverse industry. Continue to increase the attraction of enterprises in key links of the Metaverse industrial chain, further promote the layout of key technologies such as VR, AR, 5G, and digital twins, and enhance industrial competitiveness. Combining Kunming's rich resources in cultural tourism, cultural museums, sports and fitness, historical culture, etc., select specific scenarios, carry out pilot construction of Metaverse fusion applications, and form a batch of innovative applications that can be replicated, easily promoted, effective, and have potential commercial value. Plan and build metaverse experience promotion centers, industrial bases and other development carriers, build a metaverse industrial ecological organization and publicity and promotion platform, gather essential resources for industrial innovation and development, and promote key technological innovation and transformation of scientific and technological achievements. By 2024, a metaverse development test area will be built, and more than 5 metaverse innovative application pilots will be formed.
