Crypto asset management firm Bitwise Asset Management has agreed to acquire Chorus One, an institutional-grade staking service provider. The two companies have confirmed the deal, but the specific acquisition amount was not disclosed. Chorus One primarily provides institutional-grade staking services for decentralized networks, and its website shows that it currently manages approximately $2.2 billion in staked assets. Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley stated that staking is "one of the most attractive growth opportunities" for clients holding spot crypto assets. The report points out that 2025 saw a record high in crypto industry mergers and acquisitions, with a total transaction value of approximately $37 billion, indicating a clear trend of industry consolidation. Chorus One CEO Brian Fabian Crain also stated that staking is better suited for integration into larger platform ecosystems. (bloomberg)
