2021 is the year of "play and earn" - will "wear and earn" dominate 2022?

Innovation in the crypto space never stops. We've seen how Earn by Play has changed the gaming world, Earn by Walk is here to keep game lovers active.

And now, an exchange is exploring a whole new category: wear and earn.

Tidex’s new collection is made up of 10,000 NFT T-shirts — each with a unique function.

While the apparel is mostly virtual, lucky owners can also order a T-shirt that they can wear in the real world. Not only are they of the highest quality, but they come in 10 "super cool prints" - available for worldwide delivery.

As you can see, Tidex is capitalizing on the trend of creating virtual and physical NFTs. Given how much crypto enthusiasts love merchandise, Tidex hopes its threads will become as rare and coveted as those from designer brands.

Unpacking the actual t-shirts comes in a unique, beautifully colored tube - with a sticker at the top showing the print and chosen size. Inside you'll find a range of augmented reality stickers, along with product care instructions to help extend the life of the product.

And the star of the show: the T-shirt itself. Once worn, an AR filter on the smartphone turns the tops into vibrant animated artwork. This will be a great icebreaker for your next crypto conference.

how does this work

Around 3,000 NFTs are available for pre-sale starting July 15th with an early bird discount of 25% and accepting TDX tokens as payment. All NFTs can also be used to mine multiple cryptocurrencies.

They can only be purchased on Tidex.com, and there is no limit to the number of t-shirts a person can order and own.

The NFT itself will be minted starting September 1, 2022—a date from which the physical shirt will also be available to order.

This minting process coincides with the launch of the long-awaited TIDEX VERSE app, described as a key step in the project’s entry into the Metaverse.

Owners of these NFTs also have plenty of options, not least because they can be resold on secondary markets.

Eric Ma, who became Tidex’s new CEO on July 1, told Cointelegraph that the “Wear and Earn” campaign “is a stepping stone in our journey to build our own Metaverse.”

What's next?

In addition to the NFT pre-sale, Tidex will also participate in the Blockchain Economy Istanbul Summit scheduled for July 27-28.

The platform’s Metaverse is also already in beta mode — with 16 mini-games for crypto enthusiasts to enjoy.

Launched in 2017, Tidex has long aimed to appeal to both novice and advanced traders. Waves founder Aleksandr Ivanov is one of the exchange’s advisors.

According to the project, the trading platform already has millions of users around the world.

New use cases for NFTs keep popping up — Tidex believes its “earn through” campaign will create a buzz and NFTs will provide utility.
