Tokenized Real-World Assets Market Expected to Grow to Trillions in Next Decade

According to Odaily, Bitfinex's Head of Operations, Jesse Knutson, has indicated that the market for tokenized real-world assets (RWA) is set to expand by 2026, driven by emerging market economies. Knutson explained that tokenizing real-world assets, which involves representing physical or traditional assets on blockchain networks, can facilitate on-chain capital formation and bypass traditional financial intermediaries. He projected that within the next decade, the total market value of tokenized RWAs could reach several trillion dollars. However, this growth is contingent upon major issuers transitioning from pilot projects and sandboxes to actual commercial products.
