DTCC Joins Canton Network as Super Validator Node

According to Foresight News, the Canton Foundation has announced that the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has voted to approve the CIP-0083 proposal, officially becoming a super validator node on the Canton Network. As a super validator node, governance co-chair, and key partner in the on-chain transformation of U.S. capital markets, DTCC will mint a portion of its custodied U.S. Treasury securities on the Canton Network within a controlled production environment. This move allows DTC participants to switch between traditional ledger-based and tokenized forms for selected supported assets while maintaining the same CUSIP, investor protection, and ownership. Previously, Foresight News reported that DTCC had chosen the Canton Network as its tokenization partner.
