Meanwhile, Kyle Hauptman, the 13th Chairman of the NCUA, previously held the role of Senior Vice President at investment bank Jefferies, where he oversaw U.S. Treasury and futures trading. The decision to appoint a new CFTC Chairman comes amid growing interest and regulatory scrutiny in the cryptocurrency sector.
