Alpen Labs Launches Strata Platform Using ZK Rollup Technology

According to Odaily, Bitcoin Layer 2 development company Alpen Labs has introduced a new platform called 'Strata,' built using ZK rollup technology. Strata is the result of two years of development by Alpen Labs. In its initial phase, Strata will function as a ZK rollup on Bitcoin, featuring a trust-minimized BitVM bridge. In the long term, Strata aims to become a settlement layer for ZK proofs directly on Bitcoin. Earlier in April, Alpen Labs announced the completion of a $10.6 million funding round led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Castle Island Ventures, Robot Ventures, and Axiom Capital. Last year, Alpen Labs developed Bitcoin Rollup infrastructure to bring smart contract capabilities to the Bitcoin network.
