Sonic Labs CTO Demonstrates Testnet Performance With 720 Millisecond Finality

According to Odaily, Sonic Labs Chief Technology Officer Andre Cronje has showcased the performance of their testnet, achieving a finality time of 720 milliseconds. As of September 12, data indicates that the testnet has processed over 71 million blocks, with an average block time of approximately 0.33 seconds, handling more than 3.32 million transactions within a 24-hour period. The team has announced plans to officially launch Sonic in November or December 2024.
