Chinese Embassy in Russia Warns Citizens Against Illegal Gold Mining

According to Jin10, China's Embassy in Russia warned Chinese citizens, companies, and organizations not to engage in illegal gold mining in Russia. Russia strictly regulates the extraction of gold and other minerals, and illegal gold mining by foreign nationals is a serious offense. Some Russian regions have introduced or are pursuing policies barring foreign nationals from gold mining and have intensified crackdowns on illegal work and mining. Chinese citizens have faced deportation, heavy fines, and imprisonment. The embassy urged Chinese citizens and organizations in Russia to obey local laws, beware of high-paying gold-mining scams, obtain the required permits through legal channels, avoid unlicensed operations and environmental damage, and not enter Russia illegally or misuse visa-free policies to work.
