Binance Says Deposits Normal, Withdrawals Paused for Security Revamp, Eyes 48-Hour Restoration

Binance said deposits remain unaffected and are operating as normal, while withdrawals stay paused as its team completes a security overhaul of the withdrawal service and related addresses. The exchange said in an X update that it expects withdrawals to resume within 48 hours and will provide further details. The incident stems from multiple factors, according to the announcement. The security team is tracing the full attack path through a compromised computer that may have been the entry point. A comprehensive report setting out the root cause will follow. Binance said it will continue to share updates through its official channels.
