Towngas, PolyU To Develop Blockchain Platform For Green Fuel And Chemicals

Hong Kong and China Gas (00003) has signed a cooperation agreement with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to jointly develop a blockchain management platform for its green fuel and chemicals businesses, according to ETNet. The platform will first be applied to VENEX, a Towngas group unit, at production bases in Inner Mongolia and Foshan. It will cover raw material procurement, production operations, product certification, logistics and end-use, with the aim of supporting green value certification, full-life-cycle traceability and market applications.
