Miu Miu’s New Crochet Wallet Draws Attention Over Its 5,950 Yuan Price

Miu Miu’s 2026 new small crochet zip wallet has drawn attention on Chinese social media after being priced at 5,950 yuan, with users questioning whether its handmade crochet construction justifies the cost, according to Jiemian News. The wallet is made of fabric, measures 10 cm by 15 cm, and had sold six units on Miu Miu’s Tmall flagship store at the time of reporting. Jiemian News reported that the same flagship store listed other wallets at 5,300 yuan to 7,050 yuan, while on Dewu App the wallet was bid at 5,182 yuan and one consumer had bought it for 4,168 yuan, nearly 1,800 yuan below the launch price. Store customer service said it is a wallet and a new product this year, and that items sold through official channels are uniformly priced. The article also noted that Miu Miu has repeatedly sparked online debate over pricing and design, including a 3,650 yuan headband launched in August and a crystal-covered apron-style dress seen in January priced at 152,000 yuan. Miu Miu is a Prada Group brand founded by Miuccia Prada in 1993 and based in Milan; Prada Group said first-half 2026 revenue rose 16% year on year at constant exchange rates to 3.048 billion euros, with Miu Miu retail sales up 3%.
