China Imposes Temporary Anti-Dumping Deposits On Japanese Dichlorodimethylsilane

China's Ministry of Commerce said it has made a preliminary ruling that imports of dichlorodimethylsilane from Japan were being dumped, causing material injury to the domestic industry, and that there is a causal link between the dumping and the injury. According to ETNet, the ministry will impose temporary anti-dumping measures in the form of deposits from September 8, 2026, with a maximum deposit rate of 99.2%. It said importers bringing in Japanese dichlorodimethylsilane must provide deposits to Chinese customs based on the rates set in the preliminary ruling. The ministry also set a 99.2% deposit rate for Shin-Etsu Chemical Co and other Japanese companies, and an 80.8% rate for Denal Silane Co.
