China to Expand Personal Pension Fund List With Equity-Linked Bond Funds

China is set to further expand its personal pension fund lineup by adding eligible equity-linked secondary bond funds and balanced bond-heavy mixed funds to the product list, according to Jiemian News. Several fund companies have received a notice from regulators titled "Notice on Doing a Good Job in Including Equity-Linked Secondary Bond Funds and Balanced Bond-Heavy Mixed Funds in the Personal Pension Fund Product List," and will soon promote the inclusion of products that meet certain conditions. The funds are generally classified by the market as broad fixed-income-plus products, using fixed-income assets as a base while adding stocks, convertible bonds and equity-oriented funds to enhance returns.
