AI TRENDS | Samsung Electronics and Arm Launch Joint Development of Next-Generation On-Device AI Chip

According to Jin10, Samsung Electronics and Arm (ARM.O) have officially launched joint development of an on-device AI chip. Arm approved a one-time engineering fee for developing the next-generation on-device AI SoC chip at the end of August and formally started the project with Samsung Electronics. The project uses a cooperation model in which Arm provides core technology and Samsung Electronics integrates and implements it, with the goal of jointly developing customized chips for delivery to end customers.
