PRECIOUS METALS | Gold and silver rise as U.S. Treasury yields fall; Fed's Waller favors holding rates

According to Wallstreetcn, New York gold rose 3.0% intraday and spot gold gained 2.5%, while New York silver rose 3.5% and spot silver climbed 3.0%; U.S. 10-year Treasury yields briefly fell to 4.73% before the U.S. stock market open, down 4.8 basis points, and 2-year Treasury yields briefly dropped more than 6.8 basis points to 4.3007%, while Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he would prefer to keep rates unchanged as inflation continues to ease.
