American Airlines Will Match Trump Account Contributions For Employees' Children

According to CNBC, American Airlines said it will match the federal $1,000 contribution to Trump Accounts with a one-time additional $1,000 contribution for employees' children. The airline said eligible employees will also be able to contribute up to $2,500 of pretax earnings annually to a Trump Account starting in 2027, and it plans to offer paycheck deductions next year once the rules are final. About 1.4 million children signed up for Trump Accounts qualify for the Treasury's $1,000 seed money, and more than 50 companies have already committed to contributing to the accounts in some form, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.
