Brazil Banks Lure Hedge-Fund Talent as High Rates Squeeze Industry

Arminio Fraga, one of Brazil’s best-known hedge-fund investors, said earlier this month he was handing his funds to the country’s fourth-largest bank as double-digit interest rates make it harder to keep a fund like his open, according to Bloomberg. Fraga said the returns available from Brazil’s rates are now too high to attract enough clients.
