Tether's XAUT Receives Sharia Compliance Certification From Amanah Advisors

Tether said its gold token XAUT has received Sharia compliance certification from Amanah Advisors. According to Foresight News, the certification confirms that XAUT meets core Islamic finance principles, including direct ownership of physical gold, no interest-based (riba) mechanisms, no leverage or speculative derivatives, and transparent reserve structure. Each XAUT token represents direct ownership of one troy ounce of physical gold stored in Swiss vaults. The certification is expected to open new use cases for Islamic banks, halal savings products, and tokenized trade finance, with a focus on Gulf Cooperation Council countries, parts of South Asia and Africa, and institutional markets that support Islamic finance.
