Jim Cramer Urges Investors To Ignore Short-Term Earnings-Season Noise

According to CNBC, Jim Cramer cautioned investors not to react to every move during earnings season, saying they should focus on owning quality companies for the long term and avoid getting caught up in short-term market noise. He said the market was being driven by a mix of earnings reports, U.S. strikes against Iran, and shifting expectations for oil prices and interest rates, with stocks moving in ways that defied conventional logic. Cramer cited GE Vernova, which fell 8.7% after an earnings miss, as an example, while saying its strong cash flow and turbine demand supported its longer-term outlook. He also pointed to Nvidia, which opened lower before closing up 2.3%, and said the move may have reflected optimism around Super Micro's surge in new orders. In the utility sector, Cramer said Sempra rose 2.7% and Dominion gained 1.8% even as Treasury yields climbed.
