Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, And Flip 8

According to Yonhap, Samsung Electronics Co. unveiled its Galaxy Z foldable lineup — the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 — at its Galaxy Unpacked event in London on Wednesday. The company said the new phones build on seven generations of foldable development since the first Galaxy Z launch in 2019 and are designed to better fit different user lifestyles while offering more personalized artificial intelligence experiences. Roh Tae-moon, co-chief executive officer and head of Samsung's mobile business, said the new Galaxy Z series is the company's most refined foldable lineup and will improve the mobile experience while providing personalized services. Samsung said the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a wider display ratio for easier use when folded and more immersive viewing when unfolded, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the first Samsung foldable to use the company's Ultra branding. The Ultra model has an 8-inch main screen, an upgraded camera system and a larger battery, and Samsung said it weighs 215 grams, making it the lightest in the fold series, and measures 4.1 millimeters thick when unfolded, the thinnest fold model the company has made. Samsung said the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is designed to combine a compact form factor with personalized experiences and AI features. It weighs 180 grams, making it the lightest Galaxy Z Flip model to date, and measures 6.1 millimeters thick when unfolded.
