Andrew and Tristan Tate arrested in Miami on U.K. rape and sex trafficking extradition charges

According to CNBC, Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were arrested Saturday in Miami after British authorities sought their extradition on rape and sex trafficking charges. The U.S. Marshals Service took the brothers into custody on a sealed warrant, and British prosecutors said they were seeking extradition over allegations that the pair raped and trafficked women between 2010 and 2017. The Crown Prosecution Service said it was bringing 38 new charges related to four additional victims, including an extra charge against Andrew Tate for profiting from prostitution and 19 counts linked to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. The brothers, who moved to Romania in 2016 and were arrested there in 2022, were later allowed to leave Romania and flew to Florida on a private jet last year. Andrew Tate has more than 10 million followers on X but has been banned from YouTube, TikTok and Instagram for hate speech violations.
