Samsung Electronics To Unveil Foldables And Smart Glasses At Galaxy Unpacked

According to Yonhap, Samsung Electronics Co. is expected to unveil new products, including foldable smartphones and smart glasses, at its Galaxy Unpacked event in London this week. The company will hold the event under the theme "A New Shape Unfolds" on Wednesday (Britain time), and industry watchers expect it to introduce a premium book-style foldable smartphone tentatively called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra for the first time. Samsung has typically revealed the standard Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip models at Unpacked events, but this year it is expected to add an Ultra version to the Fold lineup. Industry sources said the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to have a 4:3 ratio when unfolded, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to use a 3:2 ratio. Samsung Electronics is also expected to present its strategy for an artificial intelligence ecosystem and introduce a new smart glass. In May, Google LLC said it was jointly developing Android-based smart glasses with Samsung Electronics, and investors and industry watchers are looking for further details on specifications, pricing and launch timing. The glasses are expected to include AI-powered voice conversation, real-time translation, navigation and camera-based visual search.
