STOCKS | Hong Kong Stocks Close Higher Led by Biotech, AI Agents; Hang Seng Index Rises 1.4%

Hong Kong's major stock indexes opened and closed higher on July 15. According to Jin10, the Hang Seng Index closed up 1.4%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.3%. Turnover on the Hang Seng Index reached 304.297 billion Hong Kong dollars. Biotech concept stocks were strong throughout the day. Joinn Laboratories (06127.HK) surged 23.78%, while multiple stocks including Vybio (09887.HK), Ocumension Therapeutics (01477.HK), and Beijing Biocytogen (02315.HK) rose over 10%. AI agent concept stocks also strengthened. MINIMAX-W (00100.HK) gained 13.3%, and Zhipu (02513.HK) rose 16.69%. Among popular tech stocks, Meituan (03690.HK) rose over 5%, while Tencent Holdings (00700.HK) and Alibaba Group (09988.HK) both gained over 2%. Precious metals concept stocks declined. Shenglong International (01182.HK) closed down 8.75%, and both Lingbao Gold (03330.HK) and Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining (06693.HK) fell over 5%.
