Binance Futures to Adjust KORUUSDT Perpetual Contract Size Following 20-for-1 Stock Split

According to the announcement from Binance, Binance Futures will adjust the contract size of the USDⓈ-Margined KORUUSDT Perpetual Contract commencing at 2026-07-15 00:15 (UTC), with the process estimated to complete at 2026-07-15 13:30 (UTC). The change is tied to a 20-for-1 forward share split of the underlying asset issuer’s issued and outstanding shares in the form of a stock dividend. The underlying equity/index for the contract is Direxion Daily South Korea Bull 3X ETF (NYSE Arca: KORU), and the adjustment scale factor is 20. Binance said a cancel-only phase may follow for up to 5 minutes after the adjustment is complete. Contract Adjustment Details: Binance stated that during the Adjustment Period, a Halt Session State will be implemented and all open orders in KORUUSDT, including reduce-only orders (TP/SL), will be canceled. Trading-related services for the contract, including trading, closing positions, order placement/cancellation/modification, funding fee, mark price, price index, and liquidation functions, will be suspended, and the Mark Price and Price Index will not be updated. Strategy bots on the contract (including Grid, DCA and Snowball) will be terminated at 2026-07-15 00:05 (UTC), with positions closed automatically and not reinstated after completion. Position handling and settlement: Binance said users with open positions will be closed first, unrealised PNL will be settled and credited to Cross Margin Futures Accounts, and isolated-mode realised PNL and margin balances will be transferred to Cross Margin Futures Accounts; after completion, new positions will be re-instated, with isolated margin transfers based on initial margin requirements. Trading Status Timeline: Binance listed TRADING before 2026-07-15 00:15 (UTC), TRADING_HALT from 2026-07-15 00:15 (UTC) to 2026-07-15 13:30 (UTC), TRADING_CANCEL_ONLY from 2026-07-15 13:30 (UTC) to 2026-07-15 13:35 (UTC), and TRADING after 2026-07-15 13:35 (UTC). During the cancel-only phase, only Post-Only orders may be submitted, modified, or canceled. Binance added that final and newly adjusted positions will be available before 2026-07-15 13:30 (UTC), and warned the opening market price at 2026-07-15 13:30 (UTC) might deviate from the newly adjusted Mark Price due to the suspension of Mark Price and Price Index services.
