Norway’s preparations for their World Cup 2026 quarterfinal against England were disrupted after the squad switched hotels in Miami one night after checking in, following player complaints about road noise and nearby construction, according to Yahoo Sports. Norway made an official complaint to FIFA and moved out of the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale within two-and-a-half hours, relocating to a hotel closer to Hard Rock Stadium, where the quarterfinal will be played on Saturday night. The move followed an illness that has affected the squad since Sunday, with coach Stale Solbakken saying the impacted players were recovering. Norway reached the quarterfinals after beating Ivory Coast 2-1 in the round of 32 and then defeating Brazil 2-1 with an Erling Haaland brace. FIFA agreed to pay for 50 rooms plus security at the new hotel, while the Norwegian FA will cover additional upgrade costs requested by players.
