EY: Takeover Bids for LSE-Listed Firms Total 27x New IPO Market Cap So Far This Year

The total value of takeover bids for London Stock Exchange-listed companies has been 27 times the market capitalization of newly listed companies so far this year, renewing concerns about the shrinkage of the UK public markets, according to 36Kr. Professional services firm EY said only seven IPOs were completed in the first half of 2026, raising a combined GBP 577.2 million.
