U.S. Central Command said Iran recently attacked three merchant ships transiting the strait, including the Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker Al Rekayat, the Saudi Arabia-flagged oil tanker Wedian, and the Liberia-flagged oil tanker Cyprus Prosperity. According to Jin10, U.S. Central Command said the Iranian forces' actions were an unprovoked act of aggression that clearly and dangerously violated the ceasefire agreement and undermined freedom of navigation.
