Counterpoint: 2026 Foldable Smartphone Panel Shipments Seen at 27.5 Million, Revenue at $4.4 Billion

Foldable smartphone display panel shipments are forecast to reach about 27.5 million units in full-year 2026, up about 24% from 2025, according to 36Kr, citing Counterpoint Research’s latest quarterly report on foldable panel shipments and technology. Revenue is projected at about $4.4 billion, a roughly 48% year-on-year increase. Counterpoint said that after a mild adjustment in 2025, foldable smartphone panel shipments are expected to return to an expansion cycle in 2026, with growth driven by both a recovery in volumes and higher average selling prices supported by high-end projects from Apple and Samsung and an improved product mix.
