Strategy founder Michael Saylor said the company’s variable-rate perpetual preferred stock, STRC (Stretch), was designed with the help of artificial intelligence. According to Odaily, Saylor said he spent hours discussing the product’s structure with AI and repeatedly tested the feasibility of different design options. He said he wanted to create a preferred stock product that pays monthly dividends and keeps its price near $100, and that AI provided a specific approach to achieve that. Saylor added that when asked whether there was any historical precedent for such a structure, the AI reported after searching that no one had done it before, while stating the plan was legal and feasible.
