Ondo exec says tokenization mirrors $20T ETF boom as blockchain and AI converge

Tokenization is tracking the rise of exchange-traded funds and could accelerate as blockchain infrastructure converges with artificial intelligence, Ondo Finance head of portfolio products John Hoffman said. In a CoinDesk interview, Hoffman said AI agents could become active market participants, buying, selling and allocating capital via tokenized investment products, enabling autonomous investing and real-time portfolio management. The tokenized-asset market has nearly tripled over the past year to more than $33 billion, according to RWA.xyz; Citi estimates $5.5 trillion by 2030.
