AI TRENDS | Global Demand for Enterprise SSDs Drives NAND Flash Revenue Surge

According to Jin10, TrendForce's latest NAND Flash industry survey reveals that in the first quarter of 2026, global cloud service providers (CSPs) have significantly increased their demand for Enterprise SSDs. This surge is driven by the need to meet high-speed transmission and large-capacity requirements for building AI server infrastructure. Additionally, structural shortages in traditional HDDs have led to a shift in orders towards QLC Enterprise SSDs. As a result of this demand explosion and limited supply, the average selling price (ASP) of NAND Flash products has exceeded expectations, leading to an 83.7% quarterly revenue increase for the top five brands, surpassing $38.9 billion. In the second quarter, the supply-demand imbalance is expected to persist. Although the demand for smartphones and PCs is affected by rising memory and device prices, server orders are anticipated to fill this gap. Manufacturers generally expect NAND Flash shipment volumes to continue growing, with pricing mechanisms supporting ASP performance.
