Japan Blockchain Foundation to Issue Yen Stablecoin on JOC and Ethereum

The Japan Blockchain Foundation, responsible for the operation and management of Japan Open Chain (JOC), has announced plans to issue a yen-backed stablecoin, EJPY, on both the JOC and Ethereum blockchains. According to Foresight News, the initial focus will be on the issuance and circulation of EJPY on the JOC platform. The foundation aims to develop use cases driven by actual demand, such as B2B payments, digital asset settlements, and cross-border transactions.
