Measles Cases Surge in the U.S., CDC Reports Significant Increase

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported a significant rise in measles cases this year, with at least 733 confirmed cases, marking a fourfold increase compared to the annual average. According to Jin10, the CDC highlighted that the majority of these cases are concentrated in communities with low vaccination rates or those that have not received vaccinations. In recent years, the vaccination rates for measles, mumps, and rubella among kindergarten children in the U.S. have been declining, hindering the achievement of herd immunity.
