Chainalysis also said that sextortion, which was not mentioned in the RFI, became one of the three main task areas in the Statement of Need, and that some requirements closely matched TRM’s proprietary product architecture. The company said it was the only firm to submit a capability statement, but ICE completed its market research the next day, determined that TRM was the only vendor able to meet all requirements, and did not ask Chainalysis any follow-up questions.
