BTCB2 has fallen 84% from its September high of $1,799 and was trading at about $270 to $315 in recent hours. Developer Luke Dashjr said some BLAKE2b mining pools are “attacking” the network. After the fork, the chain kept Bitcoin’s difficulty setting and mined only about 8 blocks in the first 22 days before resuming operations through BLAKE2b hashing and difficulty adjustments. The chain is not listed by most trading platforms or by CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap, while Neoxa has said it will support the upcoming soft fork.
