Stablecoin Liquidity Growth Slows Amid Market Adjustments

According to PANews, recent data from CryptoQuant indicates a slowdown in stablecoin liquidity growth, with the market capitalization expansion reducing to approximately $1.1 billion weekly. This marks a significant decrease compared to the $4 to $8 billion weekly growth observed during the Bitcoin surge at the end of 2024. Additionally, the 60-day growth of USDT has reached around $10 billion, which is lower than its previous peak of over $21 billion. Despite the deceleration in issuance, the total stablecoin reserves on exchanges hit a record high of $68 billion on August 22, with USDT accounting for $53 billion and USDC comprising $13 billion. While the growth in stablecoin market capitalization remains positive, the reduced pace suggests a weakening in market liquidity support. This trend may indicate a shift towards a consolidation phase rather than a continued parabolic rise.
