Former Bus Company Boss Jailed for $9.3 Million Fraud After Cycling Worthless Cheques Between Two Banks
John Mensch, the former owner of East End Bus Lines, was sentenced to 18 months in prison after using a cheque-kiting scheme to fraudulently obtain about $9.3 million from two banks. He was also ordered to repay more than $9.3 million in restitution for the bank fraud.
