On November 4, blockchain trading infrastructure provider Orbs announced a strategic investment in CRYMBO. According to ChainCatcher, CRYMBO provides infrastructure for licensed institutions to offer digital asset services under their own brands and regulatory frameworks.
CRYMBO connects institutions with more than 75 service providers across custody, liquidity, banking, payments, identity verification and transaction monitoring. The platform says it does not hold customer funds or private keys, has processed more than $2 billion in transactions, and is built to meet EU MiCA and Financial Action Task Force Travel Rule requirements; its infrastructure is ISO 27001-certified.
Orbs CEO Ran Hammer said institutional adoption of onchain finance depends on infrastructure suited to regulated financial services, with Orbs focused on trading and execution and CRYMBO providing compliance, identity and operational capabilities. Orbs offers dSPOT spot trading, dPERPS perpetual contracts and onchain execution through its Layer 3 network, with more than $14 billion in cumulative trading volume.
