RD Technologies is developing cross-border payment services between Africa and Asia and supporting the expansion of its dollar stablecoin, RDUSD. According to Foresight News, the company is upgrading its business-focused cross-border payments and digital finance ecosystem, with work on banking partnerships, payment connections and digital-asset settlement infrastructure.
RD Technologies and Stanbic Bank Ghana will explore a bank-led cross-border trade settlement model supported by stablecoin technology, initially focused on payments from Ghanaian businesses to suppliers in Asia. The company is also exploring a cross-border settlement model with Ghana-based digital-asset infrastructure provider Transika that incorporates local payment capabilities.
RD Technologies will support RDUSD’s branding and expansion of its applications. The stablecoin is planned to be issued by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., a U.S. federally chartered digital asset bank, with a design goal of complying with the GENIUS Act. It is intended to be pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar, undergo third-party audits and be deployed on HSK Chain.
