Micron and the Taiwan Micron Memory Union held their first mediation meeting on September 18 and agreed to hold a second session on October 22. According to ChainCatcher, the two sides described the talks as constructive and helpful in advancing communication.
Micron said representatives discussed several issues, including the overall compensation and bonus framework, No Free Rider, and Non-Retaliation. On Non-Retaliation, Micron reiterated its commitment under its Global Team Member Handbook that employees have the right to peaceful assembly, freedom of association, and to form or join a union or labor organization of their choice without fear of retaliation, as well as to seek collective bargaining or other forms of representation.
Micron also thanked the Central Taiwan Science Park Administration and the mediation committee for their assistance and support during the process. The company said both sides will continue to maintain mutual respect and use positive, practical communication to support employees, serve customers, and promote the company’s continued success.
