RippleX engineering lead Ayo Akinyele said commercial projects, including asset managers, are preparing to use the XRP Ledger Batch V1.1 feature. According to Odaily, the feature can bundle up to eight transactions into a single operation and uses an all-or-nothing model for delivery-versus-payment settlement, while also allowing exchanges, wallets, and markets to combine service fees and customer payments.
Of the 35 validator nodes being tracked, 30 now support the proposal, above the 28 votes needed to enter the activation countdown. The countdown began at 14:06:41 UTC on September 15, and if support stays at or above 80% during the 14-day window, activation is expected after the same time on September 29.
Batch V1.0 was withdrawn in February after a critical signature verification vulnerability was found. It was never activated and did not result in any fund losses, and the fixed version was released with xrpld 3.3.0 on August 6.
