Strategy CEO Says Company Aims to Be the JPMorgan of Bitcoin

Strategy CEO Phong Le said the company does not aim to be only a Bitcoin holding company, but to become the JPMorgan of the Bitcoin sector by creating products, building markets, and providing liquidity for the digital asset economy. According to ChainCatcher, he said the company is targeting an economy that could eventually serve 8 billion people. Le said Strategy's digital credit ecosystem is currently about $15 billion in size. He added that yield and tokenized products built by DeFi protocols on top of STRC are more important than products launched by Strategy itself. He also discussed why the company chose share buybacks instead of raising the STRC dividend, and said it has been thinking about its digital credit business after a period of pressure. On Bitcoin strategy, Le said Strategy is pursuing a dual approach of long-term accumulation and flexibility, treating Bitcoin as an item on the balance sheet that is close to cash. Le also addressed MSCI index-related questions, saying the company is opposing exclusion on principle. He added that AI tools have been embedded across Strategy's software and Bitcoin businesses.
