According to the announcement from Binance, Binance Futures will launch the USDBRLUSDT USDT-priced perpetual contract on 2026-09-21 14:00 (UTC) to expand trading choices and improve the trading experience on the platform. The new contract is a USDⓈ-M perpetual contract based on the FX pair of 1 U.S. Dollar (USD) to Brazil Real (BRL), with USDT as the settlement asset. The contract will have a tick size of 0.0001, a minimum trade amount of 0.01 USDBRL, a minimum notional value of 5 USDT, and a maximum leverage of 100x. Trading will be available 24/7, and Multi-Assets Mode will be supported. Binance also stated that the capped funding rate will be +0.375% / -0.375%, the funding fee settlement frequency will be every eight hours, and the interest rate of the funding rate will be 0%.
Trading Sessions and Pricing Details
Binance said the trading hours and price index calculation mode for the FX market-based TradFi perpetual contract will vary by session. During regular trading hours, from every Sunday 17:00 (ET) to every Friday 17:00 (ET), the standard mode will apply, with the price index updated every second as a weighted average of all constituents using prices quoted by third-party data vendors. During weekends and public holidays, with weekend trading hours running from every Friday 17:00 (ET) to every Sunday 17:00 (ET), the orderbook EWMA mode will be used. Binance also noted that the perpetual contract is exempted from the 8.1 adjustment of funding interval rules, meaning the funding interval will not automatically change from every four hours to every one hour if the previous funding rate settlement reaches the cap or floor. The exchange said it may adjust contract specifications from time to time based on market risk conditions, including funding fee, tick size, maximum leverage, initial margin, and maintenance margin requirements.
