Media reports citing Doosan Group said Doosan plans to invest about 970 billion won to expand capacity for copper clad laminate, or CCL, used in AI chips. According to Sina Finance, Doosan plans to invest 420 billion won in South Korea to expand a CCL production line for optical modules, and 550 billion won to build a new CCL plant in China for AI accelerators and network switches. Doosan plans to raise output from the new capacity in South Korea and China starting in 2028. Nvidia has used Doosan's CCL products since 2024, and the business's sales rose 86% year on year last year to 1.9 trillion won.
