David Bailey Says AI Could Drive Bitcoin Adoption

Nakamoto Holdings CEO and Chairman David Bailey said artificial intelligence could become the next engine for Bitcoin adoption during a discussion hosted by investment bank TD Cowen. According to ChainCatcher, Bailey argued that the main barrier to Bitcoin adoption has been the user interface rather than the asset itself, saying wallets, addresses, private keys, and the onboarding process have kept mainstream users away for more than a decade. He said AI-powered tools could hide that complexity and make Bitcoin easier for both individuals and institutions to use. TD Cowen analyst Lance Vitanza described the view as speculative but notable, saying it shifts the adoption debate away from traditional topics such as monetary policy, regulation, and institutional inflows. Bailey also said institutional Bitcoin adoption has only just begun, adding that spot ETFs, corporate treasury plans, and sovereign interest over the past year have changed the market more than the previous decade combined. He said the opportunities ahead remain larger than those already captured. When asked whether Bitcoin is reshaping traditional finance, Bailey said the answer is yes, noting that institutions, governments, and public companies are participating at scale while Bitcoin's underlying properties remain unchanged. Nakamoto describes itself as a Bitcoin platform spanning media, conferences, education, asset management, advisory, and treasury services. TD Cowen assigned Nakamoto Holdings a Buy rating.
