Pakistan Plans Tax Relief for New Energy Vehicles

According to Sina Finance, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved a draft five-year auto policy that will offer major tax incentives for new energy vehicles while protecting traditional car assemblers. The policy would raise the loan cap for new energy vehicle purchases from 3 million rupees to 10 million rupees, and exempt them from federal excise tax, capital value tax, and withholding tax.
